Oil Shale Research Lease Approved for Rifle Site
The Interior Department approved an oil shale research lease for a site near Rifle Colorado to Development England to Inc DEI. The five year lease may extend five more and requires at least 2.5 million dollars in research spending with a demonstration project. The company will bear most costs for the plant and the government may grant non discriminatory licenses on a royalty free basis for shale tech.
