Country Club Plans Decoration Day Golf Tourney

Gresley Country Club announces a gala golf tournament for Decoration Day May 30. All members participate in teams led by president Fred Norcroan and vice-president Harry Farr in 19 hole match play. Over 60 men per team expected. Matches start at 1 pm to avoid Memorial Day services. Meanwhile Clough trophy 72 hole round continues Sunday with May 31 final day for scores and trophy awarding.

Zimmerman Delivers Milliken Graduation Address Friday Night

May 21 Milliken high school held its 1931 graduation with Dr A F Zimmerman of Teachers College Greeley delivering the keynote Visionaries and Visionista address. The auditorium showcased green and white decor as the senior class processed to a varied program including music and recitals by Florence Binder Don Hancock and Florence Elam.

Large audience greets ceremony featuring class plays and songs led by Florence Elam and Helen Blanton. Elam, president of the board, presents diplomas to his daughter Florence, and treasurer G C Binder presents his son Floyd. Emma and Frank Gheaguiora graduate together.

Mead School Closes With All Day Picnic

Mead Consolidated closes for the year with an all day festival of athletic contests in the morning followed by an auditorium program of songs dance and readings by grades six through twelve. A cafeteria lunch and ice cream were served and a baseball game between Mead and Gilcrest ended with Mead 11 Gilcrest 2.

Natural Man vs Spiritual Man at Frea Methodiut church

A full house heard Rev. Mel Lewis speak on The Natural Man versus the Spiritual Man from First Corinthians. He contrasted natural intellect with spiritual truth using Naaman’s Jordan cleansing as example and noted faith over reason may be required. Services planned for that night at the church. Windsor golfers defeat Loveland 8 to 19 on Windsor course. Guild ladies served lunch at noon.

Graduating Exercises at Evyana Well Attended

The Evyana school graduation held Friday evening in the auditorium drew strong attendance from graduates families and friends. The decorated stage featured pink and white colors and pink rose boutonnieres for graduates. LaSalle Public School Ends Successful Year Picnic

LaSalle May 21 The LaSalle public school ends a very successful year with a community picnic Friday at the school. In the morning various athlete events entertained all grades including preschoolers and adults. A noon lunch followed and two ball games in the afternoon. Fathers played the boys and won while the mothers lost to the daughters. P T A president Mrs A O Givans hosted the activities.

Windsor graduates from Julesburg High School

A Windsor student, son of Rev and Mrs J A Brith Windsor, graduates with the Julesburg high school class. The family plans to attend the commencement Friday night as Mrs Smith opens a Methodist church meeting with representatives from Ovid and Bedgwick present Wednesday morning.
