City Collects Fines Amid Week of Offenses

City reports 1084 in fines last week with 73 02 50 suspended or unpaid. Twelve persons charged for disturbance and eleven for careless driving. Eight for running signals and signs and drunkenness. Other violations included unlicensed dogs, property destruction, reckless driving. Police logged 3267 miles and 11 auto accidents.

Sterling Officers Attend Northeastern Menua Conference

Several members of the city police department attended a conference of the Northeastern Menua Officers association at Sterling Wednesday. Included were lieutenants Paul Clow Harry Towning Harold Hover and a patrol of Tan Lepore James Beard Wilfred Green Gorey Jack Mier Mito Oster and Paw Martine. The officers attended the Yarg conference in the afternoon.

Ex-Banker Indicted By Federal Grand Jury

Man Killed as Car Hits Hole near Boulder

Ramon Victor Areillo, 26, of Boulder Route 1, was killed early Wednesday in a one day accident on Baseline five miles east of the junction with the turnpike in Boulder County.
