Small Talk Contest To Close May Deadline

Two Sisters Injured In Fifth Crest Road Collision

Marian Harmon 17 and Linda Harmon 7 were injured when a 1937 Chevrolet struck a truck on Fifth Crest Road near Greeley. Marian suffered a fractured nose and chest injuries, Linda had severe bruises, and Mrs Taith Kem 8% was uninjured. Patrolman Ratz Klug reported the car veered after Marian Harmon looked toward the back seat as two youths, William Goddard 15 and another, opened a gate nearby.

Bids Sought for Two Oiling Projects in Colorado

Denver May 18 The highway department seeks bids on two oiling jobs totaling 2.66 million in northern Colorado. One work covers 9 miles from Wray to the Nebraska line and the other 7.6 miles on highway 14 between Bierling and Blaneham. Bids will be opened June 0. The department estimates the cost at about 2.66 million.

Switchmen Call Railroad Strike For 40 Hour Week

The Switchmen's Union of North America calls a railroad strike starting May 23, affecting ten western lines including Chicago Great Western and Denver and Rio Grande Western. Firefighters were alerted at 4:32 am to a blaze at Elisabeth bint's residence 1316 Fourteenth Avenue. Mattresses and bedding were damaged by flames, investigators say a cigarette started the fire in the bedding area during the night.

Joyriders Blamed for Missing Atomic Auto

In New York on May 1 authorities blamed joyriders for the disappearance of an atomic energy mission blueprint.
