Body of Kiowa wreck engineer recovered near bridge
The body of John W. Bacon, engineer of the Kiowa wreck, was found Sunday about ten miles below the bridge. The corpse was badly battered and unrecognizable except for sleeve buttons via blotting, the funeral held in Denver, and Bacon carried insurance of 2300 with the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Hart-Stock Accident Insurance.
