A reader reports two runaway incidents in Ley this morning. A man driving a team of small gray ponies on Tenth Street near the railroad was dragged after the ponies spooked by steam from an engine. His injuries include bruises and scratches as the buggy wrecked against a moving train. Earlier on Eighth Street Dr. Wright narrowly escaped when a switch engine struck a line of cars near the crossing. The doctor saved both himself and his horse by steering away, though he suffered minor injuries.

Rural Carrier No 5 Clement Miller has been appointed regular carrier on rural route No. 5 from Greeley. James N. Newbury becomes substitute on the same route. Couple Returns to Sweden for Summer Visit
David Anderson left Greeley on Saturday for his former home in Sweden. He came to the United States twenty years ago and his wife, also from Sweden, arrived earlier. They were married in Greeley and have since lived in Kansas. This spring they returned to make Greeley their home. Mrs. Anderson will stay, while Mr. Anderson spends several months with relatives in Sweden. Mrs. Anderson and the family remain in Greeley.
