Nolan Proposes Airport Lease Options to City Council

Council members discussed Dick Nolan proposals to lease the entire airport for 5000 dollars yearly or lease the hangar and a lean-to for 450 dollars monthly. Federal funds restricted full airport lease, public works committee to meet Nolan again Friday and plan an inspection tour of Colorado airports.

Services Friday for Ralph E Johnston

Funeral services for Ralph Johnston of 1901 Cranford will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from Macy's drawing room with burial at Linn Grove. Memorial donations may be sent to Trinity Episcopal Church or the Salvation Army. The obituary notes Johnston was division news editor of CSC and died Tuesday, with local weather showing 74 at 2 p.m. Wednesday and daily highs and lows matching typical spring conditions across the region.

Swiss Arrest Two Soviet Diplomats

Two Soviet diplomats were arrested in Veurlen while attempting to obtain Swiss and West German military secrets. They, as officials of the Soviet Embassy in Bern, will be expelled immediately. Names of the diplomats and contacting agent were not released. The incident follows several espionage expulsions involving East European Soviet satellite diplomats.
