Six Cologrady Agricultural College students from Fort Collins admitted taking part in widespread nocturnal raids on tulip beds in Greeley and Sterling. Police charged three youths at the city jail as a watch for the college fraternity Phi Epsilon reported cooperation with city officials. Several hundred tulips were stolen, and raiders fled in cars before dawn.
Three Fort Collins students from Colorado State College of Agriculture were taken to Sterling after raid reports at Mrs J Seevers garden. Police say the youths admitted stealing mowers, snatching a gun, and involved in a disputed car encounter. they were released to a relative and ordered to pay costs. Names include W Brown Jr, L Eldred, and H Hudspath. Sigma Phi Upsilon Craternity linked to the Fort Collins address.
Six Colorado State college students, members of Sigma Pi Epsilon, were arrested after raids on a tulip bed at Sterling and Greeley. One struggled with a Sterling woman to grab a flower as officers reported. Dean James A. McCain announced drastic disciplinary action to prevent recurrence in the future. President Hoy M. Green said he had not known of the fraternity Mower dance custom before. Green noted forewarning for fraternities next year. Colorado College beat Colorado Mines 90 to 41 in a Rocky Mountain meet.

Pilot William Munz flying between Taylor and Nome over the Sawtooth mountains assisted a miner and his wife during a birth aboard the plane. The newborn and mother reached Nome Hospital in good condition despite freezing temperatures and a groggy crew after the landing.
