A July 18 program lineup promises a week of lectures and entertainment led by G Gordon with contracts across lecturers and entertainers. Edward Hursell will open as a writer sociologist while Father Cleary and Father O’Dyer are listed for Catholic themes.
At the regular meeting the Hook board reorganized with Edwin Starkey elected president and others named for officers. Committees were appointed for supervision sanitation insurance texts and supplies. The board decided to bear engraving costs for loving cups for track team winners. Miss Rena Purdy leaves for Minneapolis and Miss Mary Waldron is appointed as substitute teacher.
The W. T. K. club marks its twenty first anniversary with Mrs. FL Wallace of Arkansas as guest of honor and Mrs. William R. McClelland, the second officer, also attending. A club history will be presented at the meeting tomorrow afternoon.
Eugene Grubb of Kendale Colorado proposes that Uncle Sam print a book on potato growing. He collected data and experiences from European potato fields and preferences an accessible Irish American edition. Grubb argues for a concise narrative with practical guidance and vivid illustration.
A three year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Mark Hasped Le True was bitten by a rattlesnake while playing at the family ranch 38 miles north west of Fort Collins. Medical aid was given and she was brought to town for possible amputation if needed with signs of slight improvement reported this afternoon.

Adam C. Patton died at his Boulder home shortly after his brother Fritz Patton. The Patton family, long residents here and in Greeley, includes parents Mr. and Mrs. Rush Patton and Mrs. Rush Patton who traveled from California due to Fritz illness. Adam, 50, had been in failing health. death blamed on heart trouble. Survived by his widow, four children, and his mother.
Mrs. D A Curtis is visiting her daughter Mrs Grace Wilson in Denver.
Mr and Mrs H D Parker travel to New York with plans for buying additional Guernsey cows. The trip aims to expand their dairy herd and sourcing options.
R B McDermott the linotype man departs for a Denver trip seeking relief from his annual bee fever episode as Colernno Spring and Cripple Creek are named as stops in the hope of improving his health.
The county commercial club met late at the Cam field hotel to read minutes and set an afternoon program. The couple were escorted to the president's station and presented a Mission rocker. Refreshments followed as 125 guests attended.
George Horne entertained a company of friends with a chafing dish supper at his home Sunday evening. The gathering was a casual social occasion with light refreshments and conversation.
At a Farmers Union meeting in Eaton on Saturday the committee was authorized to solicit farmers for twine sacks and orders for two cars of sacks. Paris Green bids were reviewed with 50 percent cost savings possible, to be ordered later. Dissatisfaction with old threshing methods prompts a committee to study improvements as twelve new members join.
Denver crowds celebrate Governor Wilson with a massive rally described as one of the city’s biggest public demonstrations. The event featured speeches, music, and strong support for the visiting official.
In Denver on May 9 Governor Woodrow Wilson drew an unprecedented welcome at El Jebel temple as 800 chamber members cheered. The Denver Chamber of Commerce president voiced bipartisan support and Wilson answered with a restrained smile, calling the scene wonderful.

A son was born this morning to Mrs. Graves. The mother is at her parents’ home, Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Stone. The baby’s father died in Longmont a few weeks ago after a brief illness.
Greeley high school students celebrated the track team’s state meet win at Colorado Springs with a joy ride through town Monday. About twenty touring cars, waving banners and horns, carried the boys as guests of honor at day’s end.
