Weld School Districts Elect Trustees and Officers
Weld county voters chose trustees and officers in multiple districts after reorganizations. Everett C. Reynolds won Baton treasurer for three years with 160 votes, over Dr. David F. Bates who had 140. Ruben Nelson led Baton director with 142 votes. Roy Johnson 128. Roscoe Sitter unlisted. Pierce Don Grogan re-elected treasurer with 56 votes and one ballot blank. In District 34 Ault, Fred Morita elected treasurer with 5 votes to Ardell Tee’s 1. 114 ballots cast. Faslie Clary named president, Ross Woods secretary. Woods term ends 1961, Clary’s in 1960.

Six Receive U S Citizenship Papers Monday
Six new citizens were granted papers at a Lone ceremony Monday in Weld County. The group included Wilhelm Pollok Eliz a beth Pollok and their daughter, Michael Prall Edward Wegner of Windsor, and Carl Albert Ed win Tahnenn of Dlameille. Judge Dineld A Carpenter administered the oath with Sybil Shraibere of Denver and Martha Graigg, clerk of court, assisting. Rodger Houtchens urged the new citizens to uphold the rule of laws as the basis of freedoms. Virginia L. Floria welcomed them on behalf of the OAR and presented each with a U.S. flag.

Gust Johnson Dies Monday at 84 on 59th Wedding Anniversary
Gust Johnson 84, longtime farmer in Greeley area, died Monday at Ken ton Nursing Home on his 59th wedding anniversary. Born in Sweden October 9 1875, he immigrated solo and lived in Gothenburg Nebraska Saint Peter Minnesota Windom before moving to Greeley in 1884. Johnson later farmed near Eaton, moved to Eaton 1903, retired 1953, then returned to Greeley. He chaired school board 1927 to 1935 and helped organize religious work with Evangelical Free churches. Survived by his wife Selma and several children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Funeral Friday at 2 p.m. from Adamson Memorial chapel. interment Eaton cemetery. Donations suggested to Evangelical Free church mission fund.
