Washington March 25 Chairman Dies announced subpoenas issued for Dr Albert F Whur secretary of the Communist Party of Maryland and Arkon Blumberg failed to appear at a hearing.
Four men pleaded guilty to obtaining state owned sheep using wine as barter at a reform school. Celestina Mottoya, Felix Gallebos, Roy Mylo, and Thillps Baez were sentenced to one to two years in state penitentiary for charges of illicit purchases of stolen livestock.

Three Greeley women returned Thursday in Me nt after a 6000 mile motor trip into Mexico City and nearby tourist coast. President Roosevelt at a press conference said there is scant immediate prospect for stable peace in Europe. He noted William C. Bullitt and Sumner Welles gathered information from European capitals but warned Welles had no authority to present proposals.
