O’Hagan announced district convention after county events. Peters Dominick pledged support. Joe Dolan in Boulder aims to succeed Marc Smith as district attorney. three district judgeships to be filled by next November. Officers to serve one year under new law empowering parties to elect district officers in March 1961.

Denver AP report of twin boys born five minutes apart at St. Joseph's Hospital Thornton. First born at 1:08 p.m. Sunday and second at 12:04 a.m. today. Both mother and boys are reported fine. The couple also has a 20 month old son Anthony.
In a 5-1 ruling Colorado affirms the right to tax uranium mining leases on federal lands. Chief Justice Sutton wrote the opinion, upholding a Montrose County decision. The court rejected claims that taxing leaseholds equates to taxing federal property, noting leasehold rights are separate, taxable property.
Keenesburg chosen as temporary administrative center for School District Rea at. Old bank building in Keenesburg will house the headquarters. The board approved a district wide salary schedule for new hires including 4100 for Bachelors and 4500 for MA holders with annual increments. Applications invited for high school principal roles at Hudson Keenesburgh and Prospect Valley. Harold H. Rice named superintendent and to take office July 4.
The CU Board of Regents renewed an insurance policy covering university property for 34.78 million dollars with a 49,196 dollar premium paid to Protection Mutual Insurance Co. of Chicago. Regents also appointed two School of Medicine Geury members, naming Dr Kerr White of UNC as professor and head of preventive medicine and Dr Henry H Brewster of Western Reserve University as associate professor of psychiatry.
