A 28-foot rocket blasted from a subterranean tube and traveled over 900 miles down the Atlantic range. It was the second straight successful tube shot and the ninth in 10 launches for Polaris. The inertial guided flight followed the first-stage ignition and a second stage firing a minute later. A subsequent shipboard test is anticipated soon.
