Colorado coal plant plan to begin with auction
An auction April 16 near Craig will auction 1045 acres of state land for four coal fired plants in northwest Colorado. Utah International will supply coal and a 14 acre tract south of the sites is offered. Minimum bid is 170 per acre with the action expected to create about 1800 megawatts of capacity across three to four plants in the region.
