Father Paul J. Duchesne, a Catholic missionary in Canton, says Chinese residents report that lay Christians who refuse to join the Peiping controlled church are stamped with a “don’t employ this person” mark on their resident permits. Duchesne notes that punishment for one political offense often foreshadows penalties for others.

Bobbie Parson stays with his grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cond and younger children returned Wednesday from Idaho after visiting his brother Milt in the hospital.
