Two Pioneers Gone to Rest in Hastings Colony
Morris Hastings and Caleb W. Moore, two of the oldest Union Colony members in Hastings, died within days of each other. Hastings, 88, born in Massachusetts, moved to Greeley with the colony in 1870 and leaves one daughter, Mrs. Calvin Randolph. Moore, 84, born in Pennsylvania, passed away from pneumonia at his home. he leaves children in Pennsylvania and Mrs. Neff of Fort Collins, with a son in Greeley. Funeral services were held in Greeley.

Funeral today for Mrs. Emily A Porter in Windsor
Funeral services for Emily Alyn Porter will be held at Macy's Undertaking Parlors at 2 PM Tuesday. The 26 year old, a Windsor native and former principal, died from tuberculosis after living in New Mexico with Dr. Porter, whom she married. Her death has deeply grieved local friends.

Palmer's Body Cremated in Private Riverside Cremation
The body of General Palmer was brought from Colorado Springs by private train and cremated at Riverside at 1 PM. The simple ceremony followed the dead philanthropist's wishes with no mourners or flowers. Ashes will go to Colorado Springs for a public funeral Wednesday. his will leaves a million to his daughters and to Colorado College, plus state inheritance fees.
