New Look Planned for East Side Motes Buildings
The plan shows three buildings on the east side of Pote Mp Sigard's Bulding in Marl borough connected by a glass foyer. An eight foot canopy will extend over the sidewalk for the full length of the three structures. Thirteen firms occupy the two buildings and construction on the $40,000 project is underway, aiming to finish around May 1.

C T Carney Dies Thursday At Hospital
Claude T Carney 7 of 19251 5th Ave retired superintendent of Great Western Super Co died Thursday night at Weld County General Hospital. Born February 8 1887 in Clyde Kansas he was a Bethany College graduate 1909 and began at Great Western as chemist. Later he became traveling chemist for the mountain district and then district superintendent at Scotshlair and Greeley before retiring in 1983. Survived by wife Grace a daughter Mrs Mort Daniel of Denver two grandchildren Don and Vicki Daniel and sister Miss Leora Carney of Greeley. Memorial service 2 pm Monday Trinity Episcopal Church. Memorial donations to Trinity memorial fund. Macy’s Mortuary in charge.

Gas Chamber Ready for Wooley Execution
Final preparations were made for the execution of Harold K. Wooley in the state penitentiary gas chamber. Warden Harry C. Tinsley said Wooley, 24, is resigned to his fate. A Senate team tested the chamber and another test was planned before the scheduled Friday night execution. Wooley was convicted Feb. 18, 1960, in the murder of William Scott Wright, a 37 year old musician from Denver. Governor Menich denied a life sentence appeal last week.
