Maniac killed by deputies near Denver
The 90 year old Edward Edwards, believed insane, was shot and killed by Jefferson County deputies near Plainview on Coal Creek road after allegedly firing at officers. Officers responded with rifles and hand grenades as Edwards refused surrender and threatened them, four officers' shots striking him. Edwards, powerful and feared in the neighborhood, lived alone on the ranch.

A Denver man named Blanda was shot from a car near Crowe south of Pueblo Colorado. He was semiconscious with shotgun wounds to the back neck and shoulders and found slumped in the front seat.
