C. G. Sheely a Denver contractor and bridge builder must begin prison terms at Canon City after the Colorado Supreme Court denied his supersedeas bid. He pleaded guilty to bribing Weld county officials in bridge construction and repaid about thirty thousand dollars. E. J. Estes and R. W. DeVinny confessed to receiving cash from Sheely.

Homesteader Woman in Windsor Slips Toward Recovery
Mrs. J. Stocking, 69, pioneer of the Windsor district, is seriously ill after a paralysis stroke. Once ran the American hotel here for fifteen years and, though over 60, filed a homestead east of Pierce six years ago. She proved up on 160 acres and earned income, but injuries from a buggy accident two years ago left her in frail health.
