A Weld County Land Utilization project features a spring watered by two 42 foot wells, providing stock holes along the creek. The bottom photo shows ranchers inspecting cattle at the range experimental station near Nunn where cattle are weighed monthly. The tour drew 300 people in 70 automobiles.
A Tuesday tour in northern Weld County by cattlemen, business leaders, and Colorado State College of Agriculture staff, led by A B Hyde, inspected the Rocky Mountain Range Experiment Station. Despite dry months, reseeding and grazing practices show good results, with cattle on the range thriving and a luncheon served by the Nutt Ladies Aid. Continued on page 14.
Tony Galento lightweight challenger escaped injury after a light auto crash at a New York City street intersection. Judge Tike, a Galento handler, said the left front fender slipped by another car as Galento was returning to New Jersey. Authorities reported no serious injuries and the event occurred before his scheduled title bid with Joe Louis at Yankee Stadium.
The Yankee Clipper lands in Ireland as Paynes inaugurate a new mail and passenger route. The ship launches lit mull service across northern routes, linking the United States and Europe.

Rosary is at 7:45 pm Wednesday, funeral Thursday from St Peter’s Church, Mount Olivet Cemetery, Denver.
Colorado shows partly cloudy skies Wednesday night and Thursday with cooler east portion Wednesday night. Wyoming prep remains generally unsettled Wednesday night and Thursday. Local 24 hour period ends Wednesday at 8 p m with a high of 95 and a low of 65.

Hyde’s past includes coaching in the Northern Colorado High School athletic conference and a notable record of success.
The Associated record reports naval bombers en route from San Diego to Pearl Harbor, with the first plane landing at 8:31 a.m. on the morning after departure. The flight path crossed the Pacific as the squadron continued its approach to Oahu.
Mrs. Lacy Nusbaum seeks 5000 from Cr. Meek Transport, Adams City owner C. & Mock, after a November fire and tank blast on Eight Avenue near Greely. Trial delves into contributory negligence and whether the Mock company bears liability for Nusbaum and others injuries and death.
Assveigteil Wyathington reports treasury lowers foreign price of silver from 40 to 8 percent, marking a second daily adjustment after a senate vote to restrict foreign silver purchases.
