Lewis E Gray Wedding Recalls Wade Family Ties

Mr and Mrs Lewis E Gray reside at 1123 Eighth Street after their nuptials in Bethel Capter church. The bride Mary V Morgan daughter of W T Morgan of 430 Thirteenth Avenue wore a white satin gown with nylon and net layers. The groom is son of Bonnie Gray of 613 Fifteenth Myn. The ceremony for 75 guests featured Ruth Schumacher as vocalist and a reception in the church with guests listed. The couple will take a three day honeymoon to Colorado Springs. Both attended Steeley High School.

India Expands Kandla Port to Major Status

Kandla on India's west coast has grown into the nation’s sixth major port. The project to elevate it to major status is expected to be completed in 1957 at a cost near 25 million dollars.

Milliken Youth Recreation Program Organized

A Milliken youth recreation initiative is organized by the Milliken Woman's Club and the Milikes Lions. Mrs. Charles Strob and Gon Kriezer lead, with several members assisting. Officers named include Chet Crouse president Marilyn Call vice president Dixie Walkes secretary and Joy Sundqulat treasurer. Forty enrollees so far. The group plans to include junior high to high school students and allows one guest per member. Parents may visit anytime.

Young Couples program hosted by Eric Schoenbaar

Eric Schoenbaar spoke at a Young Couples meeting held Friday night in the church parlor. He shared slides from his Italy trip. A July 31 outdoor picnic is planned at Fort Collins park hosted by local couples. An August meeting was canceled.

Travel notes of a multi-state trip with the Adkins family

Mr and Mrs Arthur Shapron of Severance and Mrs Adkins of Evans traveled for one day visiting Adkins relatives in Wichita Falls Texas then Greenville Mississippi and Birmingham Alabama They toured the Mississippi river yacht club and a large yacht in Greenville and spent days with Adkins parents in Birmingham They attended an all night sing heard quartets Blackwood Brothers Sunshine Boys Rhythm Mannerana and Jimmy Davis Then they went to Pensacola Gulf of Mexico New Orleans French Quarter markets and Fort Pike near the city followed by Little Rock Springfield and Ozark Jubilee with Red Foley They ended in Hazelton Kansas visiting relatives and friends of the Hoffmans

Windsor Accordions Contest Accounts and Guild News

In Englewood High School sixth annual accordion contest Bobby Brunner and Gaylord Rutt placed second in their duet, with a plaque to be awarded. Attendees included Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bronner, Nancy, and Arthur Foos of Scotts Bluff Nebraska. St Alban's guild met Tuesday with Mrs. Theo Sorensen hosting. twelve members and four guests attended. The group voted to buy 20 steel chairs to replace worn wood. Bazaar chair Tens Taylor will be on vacation. Gertrude Isorensen will supervise supplies in his absence. The Woman's Auxiliary all day meeting at Evergreen is set for July 12 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Evergreen conference grounds. The annual Auxiliary conference is slated for Aug. 30–31, launching the fall program of the Diocese women. July 1 planning meeting in Guild hall moved. Men Grey Lemon, former member, reenrolled. Pattie Siebert to visit grandparents Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Siebert in Fort Cal. Marvin Mayer of Cheyenne and wife are parents to Debra Kay Mayer born June 29, weight 3 ounces. Grandparents include Mrs. Louise Walker of Billings, Montana, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Meyer. Mr. R. Nuss, father of Mrs. Fred Meyer, makes his yearly Mayer home visit after previously visiting another daughter in Amarillo, Texas. Jon Carlaan of Irmgmont was guest at the J. Clark Howe home Saturday and Sunday.

Aid was given to Mrs. Roy Clark and her daughter Patty Lou who joined them for Father’s Day dinner. Patty Lou stayed through the week as Kay Teed’s guest. On Tuesday Kay and Patty Reed and Patty Lou Clark were dinner guests of the J. R. Clarks.

Judge Luby Delays Blue River Action Until October 10

District Judge William H. Luby postponed action in the Blue River water case to October 10. Jurisdiction was transferred between state and federal courts, with hearings in fall to address water rights at Green Mountain Dam and the Blue River. Cities Trenver and Colorado Springs seek the water portion under court orders.

Mineral Output Climbs in Canada in 1954

Ottawa reports 14 of Canada's 16 leading mineral products rose in 1954 versus 1953, led by iron ore copper lead nickel and petroleum. Coal and zinc output fell.
