A proposed federal housing program aims to spend nearly a billion dollars to boost low cost homes and related public works. Roosevelt outlined projects totaling about 3.06 billion for water, roads, bridges, hospitals and electrification with a focus on creating jobs and stimulating business.

Injured include Eszama Romero of Medxor, who died, and Mrs. Twikht Peterson of Sterling remains in critical condition. Mrs. Anna McEllowney and Pat Gallegos were listed as critically figured, now potentially out of danger.

Washington June 22 The agriculture department ruled that prices paid producers for sugar beets by the Great Western and Holly Sugar corporations on last year’s crop require entitling those concerns to government benefit payments on deals they produced themselves.
John F. Duncan of Ault died from injuries sustained Wednesday at a Denver hospital after undergoing surgery for a head injury. A native of Coline, he lived in Quigrade and was a veteran of the Smanlstedmevienn War. survived by his wife Agien Danian and three daughters Myra, Marguerite, Jol Banean, and a son Franke Peterson, with funeral arrangements at Arne strong Mortuary Chapel in Eaton.
Joe Montarez 43 a coal rider from Longmont was shot in the stomach near Stito coal mine at Mile Sweday and died at a hospital. Manuel Garcia 60 and other witnesses at Crentey county fair reported the shooting. Deputy Clarylet Attor ney William Vaab and Deputy Sheriff Goy Meulnnees of Ureeley collected a death bed statement from Montarez noting his weak condition before death.
Washington reports show the Senate rejected a 1,500,000 proposal to tax income with revised exemptions for married persons and unrelated groups. The plan, by Senator La Follette, aimed to cut exemptions and lower taxes, while Treasury officials projected a net tax reduction of 56 million annually. The House later sent a 292.5 million supplement to the Senate after voting down an amendment to expand the army air corps.
