The board of HSGP approved a stock and cash dividend of 10 percent for holders of record at close of business June 20. The Public Utilities Commission of Colorado required approval, with distribution expected around July for the new stock and cash for fractional shares.
A weekend soap sale seeks to raise 10000 for Rapid City flood victims. The event runs Friday through Sunday with Help Products of Greeley assisting a 10 pound bucket sale of biodegradable soap products.
Dr Neal Cross a UNC English professor will discuss Faust based ideas in a free public lecture in University Center Room 46 at 7 40 p m Wednesday. The talk uses The Old Waiter and Certie s Faucet as examples and compares Victorian and existentialist themes in a cultural setting.
Patricia Lavely will present a junior honors piano recital Thursday at the University of Northern Colorado library auditorium. The free concert begins at 7 pm featuring Bach Toccat in G Major, Beethoven Sonata in G Major Op 31 No 3, nocturnal Tangier by Godowsky, Impromptu Op 31 No 2 by Fauré, and Chopin Fantaisie in F Minor Op 48.
Eaton School District Board approves lunch price increases to 30 cents for elementary 35 cents for older students and 40 cents for adults. Other actions include curb and gutter work on Ash Street, a Best Way paving bid with two speed bumps, Douglass Roofing work at the Maian elementary, and Russell Strole named census taker for five districts. The Ministerial Association may use the football field on June 25 July 30 and Aug 27. The purple violet is New Jersey’s official state flower since 1913.
