Death notice and obituary of Edwin J Carver remains
The Riverside Press notes the death of Edwin John Carver aged nearly 73 at his home 49 Chestnut Street after a fall. He immigrated from England in 1858, worked with Horace Greeley on the New York Tribune, led the Greeley Tribune in Colorado, moved to California in 1906, and will be interred at Evergreen Cemetery before burial in Greeley, Colorado. He survived by his wife and was active in fraternal orders in Greeley. Funeral Tuesday at 4 p.m. with procession by Poucre Valley Lodge and Weld Encampment. The delta cabbage report follows.

Impersonator Fined for Unlawful Colorado Springs Marriage
A. C. Blair paid 45 dollars and costs after impersonating a gospel minister. He performed the marriage of Ada M. Halley and Henry A. Brown in Albano six weeks earlier. The couple later learned the union was illegal and remarried in Colorado Springs with a valid license. Blair claimed he believed he was ordained but lacked formal ordination.

Antelope Herd Destroys Wheat Near Fort Morgan
Hugh Hoy, a ranchman near Fort Morgan, fed a herd of fourteen antelope through winter. The animals now raid his wheat fields daily, prompting Hoy to request relief. Commissioner Holland instructed Deputy Warden Ed Baugh to drive the antelope out to the prairie with dogs to protect Hoy's crops.

Publicity Push for Reaser Electric Road Faces Greeley Gap
J. W. Carpenter of Gilcrest says the Greeley press fails to advertise the Reaser electric road. He is working on the right of way and reports at least 75 percent secured. Woman rescues child from mill race in Fort Collins
Mrs Beulah Harvey plunged into a mill race up to her armpits to save 5 year old Edward Caldwell who fell from a bridge at Pine and Willow streets yesterday afternoon and began drowning. She pulled him ashore by the hair and a physician revived him.

Sheriff reports Antero Reservoir excursion and dam progress
Sheriff Florance returned from a Denver excursion to Antero Reservoir where about three to four hundred people joined. Work on the dam continues as the structure reaches fifty feet in height. The reservoir spans 1,500 acres and will impound a 470 square mile watershed. Water was released into the basin three weeks ago. the stream is nearly as large as the Poudre but the reservoir sits nine feet deep.

Entertained Unique Club Hosts Mark Anniversary Evening
