Four Die in Denver Gas Plant Boiler Explosion
A boiler explosion at the Denver Gas and Electric plant near Sixth and Arapahoe destroyed four lives and left five seriously injured with two missing. The blast shattered the building, knocked out the dynamo room, and drew a crowd as rescuers worked amid rain and steam. Victims include five named workers and a five year old boy buried in debris. one rescuer turned off power to prevent further fire.
