Carter Lake Low Bid For Carter Lake Project

Winston brothers construction firm of Gallforula won the Carter Lake contract for the Colorado Big Thompson project with a bid of 2 389 350 dollars, about zero percent under estimates. Utah Constructing Company submitted the next lowest bid at 2 996 540 dollars. Construction begins 30 days after formal award, with 309 days to complete the lake seven miles west of Hertboutl. The lake will serve St Vrain and Boulder areas, with an earthfill dam 200 feet high, 1 200 feet long on top, and a 117 000 acre foot capacity fed by pumping water from the Flatiron system.

Connecticut GOP To Pick Candidates

Wyoming Suspends 17 Driver Licenses

Cheyenne June 12 The highway department suspended 17 licenses last week. One Cheyenne driver lost hers for a year for failing to stop and render aid. One Casper and one Laramie driver lost theirs for reckless driving. Weld 4-H Team Wins State Livestock Judging Contest

Weld 4-H team placed first in the state livestock judging contest held Monday at Fort Callina. Gene McNulty of Cornish was the second high individual with 92 of 132 points. Dead in ditching of huge air liner in Persian Gulf
