Quiet home wedding binds Winifred Chase and Hershell Newman
Miss Winifred Chase daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Chase wed Herschell Dallas Newman at the Metho dist parsonage in a simple ceremony attended by family. The bride, a Peabody graduate, wore white and carried roses. The groom, a Colorado College alumnus, works for a copper mining company in Arizona. After a wedding breakfast the couple planned a Clifton Arizona reception. The ceremony was conducted by Dr. Chase with musical accompaniment from Arthur Chase and Matilda Gibson. The couple will reside in Clifton.

Five Near Death In Explosive Coal Oil Fire
Eaton June 10 explosion of a gallon can of coal oil nearly killed five people. Mrs. Dick Droll and Mrs. A. Smith were severely burned as Droll attempted to relight a parlor stove. The fire, caught by the liquid, singed hair and burned hands. Neighbors helped extinguish flames, and the building sustained little damage.

Six men attacked Cai Buhler at a Waittenburg dance near Fort Lupton on June 10. Buhler drew a razor and injured Raymond Larkum of Brighton, who left with six wounds.
