Expanded Ports System To Begin Operating July 1
Colorado plans to start operating expanded ports of entry on July 1 under a new law aimed at capturing an estimated million dollars in truck taxes. Forty civil service hires will staff six permanent ports and four portable stations will be set up at Grand Junction Cortez Idaho Springs and Antonito with plans to gradually convert portable ports into permanent facilities. Rep St Parsons supervises the project with Buell Pace named as an assistant supervisor and another to be named later.

Gasoline stocks fall as yearlong demand stays weak
New York reports a nationwide drop in gasoline inventories for June 1 despite higher production.
