Coast Guard interviews five local police and patrol officers

In Los Angeles area defense interviews were held for chief petty officer positions in the U S Coast Guard. Five men from the local force were examined by Chief Gunner's Mate Robert M Powers. They include Captain Frank A Nurger Rovart Welsh and Clifford Kistler from patrol and Lieutenant Vern Claus and Officer Paul Martin from police. Due to potential further losses to the armed services the Greeley Civil Service board plans to announce temporary patrol officer examinations for men 45 and over or those not eligible for military service who pass the physical test.

Bulk of Jap Navy Beaten At Midway

June 9 report describes a major aerial and naval attack on Midway Island by Japan. Registration schedule for summer term at Colorado State College

Graduate students will register Friday for the 1912 summer session at Colorado State College of Education while undergraduates register Saturday. First classes begin Monday the 15th. Aid for Soldiers Families Inched By New Pay Proposal

Greeley Chamber Elects Foster President In 194?/Annual Meeting
