Two airplanes perform a dramatic display at the Pacific International air show in Oakland. The premier aircraft, piloted by Frank Clarke, leads in a top position while a second craft flown by Paul Mants flies inverted beneath.
St Peter's Catholic School will graduate six ninth grade students at the commencement Sunday at 9:30 am in the church. Diploma recipients include Claire Tobfi Rosalio Palmer Frank Locker Malvin Davis Gaettes Verlip and others, with Rev W J Frosgel delivering the address. The class colors are maroon caps and gowns red and gold. Noted student tardiness records and dismissals at St Peters School were announced with a standout perfomance by Piedalue siblings living west of Berkeley.

Nearly 100 students and six teachers were stricken with food poisoning after a graduation class banquet at Fremont High School in Oakland. About 15 were hospitalized.
A two wheel trailer broke loose from a car driven by O A Taylor of Basin Wyoming on Highway 84 south of Estco at 6 p m Friday. The trailer collided with the Taylor car head on, causing $100 damage. No injuries were reported. George W Craig was reported missing Saturday by his wife who said he left home Friday morning. He is about 6 ft 2 in tall, weighs around 150 pounds.
Two traffic fines were levied by Justice G Eoglish according to tickets returned to the Courtesy Patrol office Saturday. Bernard G Houserman of Scottishluit was fined 26 dollars and costs for speeding with Grant Frodinin. At Duckingham, Mor’s Noense drew two dollars and ovata for buying pooperi.
Associated Press report from Wa June 4 states James Nuilay Gaah Sr. resigns to the death of his only child, a five year old boy snatched from his bed Saturday. He thanks about 2000 volunteers who hunted futilely, and says once suspects are caught they will learn what was done with the boy.
Chicago insurance executive Mathew R. Dowings, 74, once a top figure at International Harvester, shot himself after business failures. His body was found in his La Salta Street office. three farewell notes were found, including one expressing despair over justice and feeling out of funds.

Weld County beet farmers should not expect government payment checks soon. Reports say most Weld County farmers wait 10 days to two months, as Weld authorities have not signed the applications yet. Some nearby counties may begin to disburse within 10 days, but Weld, the west’s largest beet area, has not signed farm payments. Community meetings will host sign in sessions.

Cloris Murphy of Eaton, former restaurant operator, entered 4 nole cantendere plea in Key court of Justice Bet TH, Montive, on a charge of failure to remit sales tax to the state. Murphy paid the tax of $9.29 plus roasts, totaling $19.33. Complaint filed by C. C. Me Davida of the Greeley sales tax office for tax due prior to closing of Murphy's restaurant last fall.
In Shanghai a Chinese IBM official Clon Anchen was shot and wounded during a chaotic scene as a gunman opened fire through a curtain. The suspect fled the scene amid a panic that disrupted the event and left the official hospitalized.
June 4 supreme court heard appeals to overturn Joseph Arridy’s 1939 Pueblo crime death sentence for the Aug 16, 1936 slaying of Dorothy Drain. Attorneys argued the defendant was a ward of the state when the crime occurred and should not face the death penalty.

New Rochelle New York June 4 Dr Atos G Squire medical examiner reported no poison played a part in the death of 12 year old Peter Levine whose lifeless body was found on Long Island last Sunday Police believed the boy’s torso was found washed ashore and later identified by the missing skull bones and shoes found near the site while a naval yard worker named George Anderson 2 from the Reoukipyn naval yard returned home.
Governor Ammons said he was very well pleased with preparations in eastern and southeastern Colorado to combat grasshoppers after a personal survey. He noted WPA workers GCC groups and county agents assisting farmers, calling the grasshopper threat among the worst in years and urging continued action.

Wadsworth of 1820 Seventh Street, Greeley, suffered about 120 in damage Friday when his car struck the rear of a machine operated by Arthur A. Milekavil on 720 Thirteenth on Tenth Avenue just north of Sixteenth Street. Witnesses said Erickson was backing toward the curb when contact occurred. The second vehicle sustained minor damage.
