Fuerst Oil Well in Production West of Fort Morgan

The Fuerst oil well, about alx miles west of Fort Morgan in Morgan County, began production at 6 am Friday. Oil is being routed into storage tanks Marcus by the Oriental Hofluing Co of Denver. Owner Dr. W F Foerst of Gresley said a truck was sent to Thlea Ohls for production equipment, with production expected to rise after pumping starts.

Boulder Toll Road Manager To Get $6,000

The project manager for the Boulder-Denver toll road will earn 6000 dollars yearly. Highway Engineer Mark Watrous says selection soon, with a civil service plan for examinations in the highway department this fall. Sister of Mrs. Spear Dies in Omaha Nebr

The sister of Mrs. G Awbrey Spear of 1219 Crawford died Thursday in Omaha. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon. Surviving beside Mrs. Spear are three children George Fuller Sr a teacher at Iowa State Laurel Fuller assistant editor of Lieworoen’s page on the Omaha World Leader and Mary Allen a junior at Iowa State. Mr Fuller died two years ago and was vice president of the Federal Land Bank of Mata. Mrs Fuller a former Helen Uzzell was active in PEO and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. She was daughter of a prominent Denver minister and pioneer seller.

10 More Will Be Hired for New Hospital

Henry H. Hill said Saturday the Wold county hospital will hire 70 more staff for the completed facility raising total employees from 169 to about 239. The expansion adds four switchboard operators, more aides, nurses, maintenance, dietary and housekeeping workers, with the laundry also adequate in the new funding. Construction remains planned near Bixt 7 West Th.

Traffic Fatalities Climb In Colorado For Year

Dover June 3. Colorado's traffic death toll for the year rose to 127. Pauline Sanders, 26, of Yampa, died after being struck by a car while crossing Colorado 141 near Oak Creek. The driver was Charles T. Grob of Yampa. The patrol said she died at a local hospital.

Greeley Guard Units to Attend Camp Carson Training

Col Donald L Stewart commands the 157th Infantry second battalion units from Greeley to attend the annual Sun day summer training encampment at Camp Carson starting June 21. Headquarters and headquarters company will send four officers and 20 enlisted, Company E six officers and 82 enlisted, and the medical company one officer and 10 enlisted. The battalion includes companies from Greeley Boulder Longmont and Fort Collins with about 1 800 guardsmen. The encampment features advanced field training using modern weapons and night maneuvers under Col Robert Charlton with combat veteran instructors and contingents from infantry armor artillery and engineers. Off duty athletics and entertainment are planned.

High-Pressure Pump To Supply Area From 18th to 23rd Streets

A new 150-horsepower high pressure pump will be installed at the Greeley Reservoir this Monday to boost water pressure between Twentieth and Twenty third streets. The project aims to alleviate long standing low pressure due to slight grade differences. The system connects with the 204nd main on Twentieth Street and includes two relief valves at Tenuta Avenue and near Bright Avenue to regulate pressure.
