He's No Quitter Builds 41 Foot Yacht Cybele in San Diego
Bill Williams, a 56 year old laid off aerospace worker, began work in 1963 on the 41 foot ketch Cybele. He towed the boat to the bay after losing his larynx to cancer and built it largely by himself over nine thousand hours. The vessel includes a private double stateroom and a big galley as plans call for an extended world cruise in a decade. Williams vows to finish without quitting.
