Four Districts Set for Zoning Revisions in City Plan

Camera lowers reveal dead miner in shaft pit

In Holuca, ML a camera lowered to the bottom of a 421 foot mine shaft pictured the body of Mowmintck vatecano, 77, missing since May 7. Relatives feared a fall before authorities prevented exploration due to gas dangers. Frank and Jack Geraide, amateur photographers, brought the camera within eight feet of the bottom and obtained a photo. Funeral services for Mrs Anna Fagerberg are scheduled Friday at 2 with interment at Lie Grave.

Ohio school explosion leaves children, janitor fighting for life

Two small children and a janitor were reported in critical condition after a gas explosion destroyed a temporary frame school building in Barbertown Ohio. Dozens of students were buried under debris as walls collapsed and roof sections fell. Hospitals reported thirty one injured remained, some severely burned or shocked.

Victor Bernhardt Held For Unemployment Fraud

Victor Bernhardt, 30, of Ratan, was arrested Tuesday by the county office on a warning for failing to report while receiving unemployment compensation. He posted $260 bond and was released to appear again Saturday. No action had been taken on a warrant charging Elerbert L. Ring of Greeley with the same offense.
