Three men in business attire robbed the cashier's office at Washington University in St. Louis on payday, escaping with an estimated 35 000 to 40 000 dollars after locking 17 people in a fire vault. No shots were fired and one person was injured during the incident at Brookings Hall.

Heavy rain and hail swept the Kersey area Monday afternoon with up to an inch in places. Reports from Kersey, Greeley, and nearby towns noted significant rainfall, scattered showers, and wind damage. Farm areas near Johnstown and Milliken faced heavy hail, with farmers reporting two inches of rain and substantial crop pounding.
