Extradition May Be Denied by Ohio for Fugitive

Ohio Governor Martin L. Davey indicated extradition of Carlton B. Chilton, a prominent suspect with a lengthy criminal history, could be refused to Oklahoma. He said Oklahoma must seek a proper requisition before Ohio will surrender Chilton, who faces a two year reformatory sentence for bank robbery and other past offenses. Forest Fire Fatal to Three Montana Survey Party

Three men of a United States Geological Survey party were killed when a forest fire swept a 28 mile front in the Little Rockies southwest of Havre Montana. One crew member is missing as the blaze moved through the area and a hospital report lists Brockinlor, Areckinlor, and Bowles among the dead with Baker and Bowles presumed to have perished in flames. the incident occurred Monday night with the bodies airlifted to Fort Belknap Indian Agency hospital.

Former Local Sugar Officials Promoted in Colorado Divisions

Ashsololnd Broan Denver July 28 Changes involving six executives of the Western Sugar Co. realign the Colorado operating division. George M. Shaffer will head planning general superintendent of the Colorado district split into two districts. S. C. Mooney named superintendent of the northern district covering Eaton Greeley Windsor Fort Collins Loveland Longmont and Fort Lipton. Cole Chewel l named superintendent of the eastern district comprising Jobstown Brosh ton Ovie Sterling Brush and Port Morgan. Grinwell joined in 1908 and rose to superintendent of Greeley and Torrington factories, later Shutter's assistant in 1943. A. H. Sandmann will succeed Mooney. Loveland and A. A. Clark take Sandmann’s place in Ovid. Wheatland post goes to O. Mr. Cumm er. Ciummer, formerly operating supervisor at Scottshulf, Neb., now to assume Wheatland duties. Fenn and West Freed Without a Charge

Gordon Fenn and Wilbur Weat of Graeley were arrested on suspicion of aiding an escapee but released without charge after an investigation into harbouring George Garmiehael, a state prison convict. Garmiehael, who escaped, was sighted near Greeley on Saturday and remains at large.

Boy 15 Returns Purse Containing 170 Dollars

Dale Boulware 15 found a purse containing 170 dollars on a street near the Camfield hotel in Greeley. He turned it to police after seeing a local newspaper report.
