Denver Golfers To Play Exhibition Wednesday

Denver golfers John Rogara and Rip Arnold will start a golf match at the J rovley Comming club Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Matary club will host a luncheon for Greeley clubs. Interment for Mrs Tentio Hubank will be in Oregon following her death this week in Gorvallis. Rev. Reports from a recent hopper war conference in Mort Morzan say the national guard dispatched trucks loaded with sawdust to eastern Colorado counties. Sawdust delivery cost as much as 25 dollars per ton, while one county plant in Greeley paid 1 dollar per ton, with guardsmen tasked to unload but sometimes refusing labor when counties declined acceptance.

Hopper Poison Price Cut and Spreaders Announced

Government allotments trigger a 10 cent cut in hopper poison prices starting July 29. County Agent L Y Torna notes new rates of 80 cents per snack for county poison and 4 cents per sick for government poison. Denver July 24 Governor Toller Ammong said he could not submit to the state supreme court an interrogatory to determine members of the legislature who may hold state jobs The governor noted interrogatories to the court are allowed only on a solemn occasion when the legislature is in session and pending legislation reaches a point where a wrong move could affect the state State Auditor Thomas Annear said he would ask the governor to submit the interrogatory and is considering withholding six months of salaries for 31st general assembly members appointed to state jobs to compel payment.

Charges cut against five in Scottsboro case

In Heeitur Alabama on July 24, five of nine Scottsboro defendants were dropped by the state after Ozzie Powell pleaded guilty to assault linked to the January 1936 transfer incident involving Deputy Sheriff Edgar Blolock.
