U S Aid Sought for Hail Damage Areas

Federal emergency funds are being sought for nine Colorado areas including Windsor Severance Ault Pierce Graver Johnstown Milliken Prospect and Greeley after severe hail damaged crops. County Agent George James and County Commissioners coordinated the request based on figures from Great Western Sugar Co. factories and FHA manager Howald Feneix.

Denver AP reports Colorado employment at an all time high with 75.3 percent of residents employed in June, up 3.15 points from May and about 25,000 higher than a year earlier. Greeley had the lowest unemployment at 11.8 percent while the state overall faced a 34 percent jobless rate.

Kennedy Signs New Sugar Law Quotas Set for Argentina and Dominican Republic
