Welfare caseload up in Weld County June

Weld County welfare caseload rose slightly in June as food stamp sales increased to 299,678 dollars from May’s 291,084. Some 2,907 households purchased food stamps, ADC care fell by 10 families and 92 individuals to 1,272 households, while total department expenditures excluding old age pensions reached 400,603 dollars, up from May and June 1976.

Lamm Uses Federal Funds To Cover State Salaries

Gov. Richard Lamm of Colorado allocated 538287 in federal antirecessionary money to cover state employee salaries not funded by the legislature. This boosts total federal support to about 1.4 million across programs he says were underfunded by the General Assembly. He also announced about 253000 in additional federal aid to coordinate drought relief across Colorado’s 13 administrative events.
