Hughes Sets New Round The World Record Flight

Howard Hughes and four crew members landed at Floyd Bennett Field New York after a record round the world flight. They completed the journey in 91 hours 16 minutes eclipsing the Wiley Post mark by more than a day. Crowds greeted the ship as it taxied to the terminal while parts of the journey spanned Alaska Minnesota and New York.

Glen Hubbell signed a revised contract with the CIO agricultural workers union for green pea shipping in Colorado. Young Democratic Picnic At Glacier Basin Camp

Young Democratic clubs in Laviner and Weld counties plan a joint picnic at Glacier Basin camp on the Bear Lake to be held Sunday July 3. More than 200 are expected to attend. Ausopiatot Tras Denver July 14 District Attorney John A Carroll announced the arrest of Tex Bledsoe the fourth person detained in connection with alleged forged signatures on petitions to submit repeal of Colorado s 346 old age pension amendments. John Walker investigator for the district attorney sat Bledsoe who claims Colorado Springs as home was taken into custody in Denver. Simultaneously charges of perjury were fired in district court against Senator Richard Saver, another arrestee, who was arrested recently in Cheyenne Wyoming.

Windsor recorded 1.42 inches of rain on Wednesday as thundershowers neared central Weld County. Light showers and small hail were reported five miles west of Windsor with some livestock losses.
