Sedans Strikes Oil Truck Killing Driver in Weld County

Edmond B. Davie, 22, of Cheyenne, died after his sedan crossed into a northbound oil truck near Twin Bridges, one mile north of Rockport on the Greeley Cheyenne highway. Herman Davie and Derald Anderson were injured. Anderson expected to go home Monday. Police and coroner investigated. witnesses said the Davis brothers had been drinking.

Soviet Fliers Nearing Pole U S Bound

Soviet pilots headed toward the North Pole cross the arc toward the United States. A Soviet transpolar route marker reported they were about 500 miles from the pole at 11 30 MST with reports of rough fog and strong winds. Soap Box Derby draws 60 entrants in Greeley race

Vollmer Man Freed After Investigation

Don Gonzales age 64 of Vallmary freed without charge from the jail Sunday after an investigation into an accident near Granl niner with Alex De Brey of Firestone.
