The Gold Drop Club in Flint Michigan reports 583 members donating blood to the Red Cross. Each member has given a gallon or more. Over five years the group has donated 5229 pinta of blood.
Robette Holmes and Patty Reid led a Hands and Nails care session at Big Bend 4 girls meeting hosted by Shirley Bush with Janet Beyer assisting. Watalla Kurzyna chaired the business meeting. Dessert served to a long list of members. Next meeting with Joan Hemple. 4-H boys beat Prospect Valley 18 to 5 at Platteville. Bob Bry pitched, Charles Hains hit a hone yun. Big Bend prepares to face Eyane at Platteville. Tri Beta club hosted a dessert bridge. Mrs. Crowley and other members participated. 39 era club hosted canasta with prizes. Tommy Fisher, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Fisher, entered an accordion contest in Neaver and helped the quartet win third place in the 11 age group.
