Greeley City Council will consider a special use permit to allow Dayspring Christian School at Greeley Wesleyan Church campus on 240th Avenue. Private schools may operate in residential districts only with council approval, and Dayspring seeks to use both floors of the instructional wing.
A church in a K-2 two-family zone would serve B6 students and four teachers using existing parking for loading. Building changes are needed before a permit. council will discuss land-use actions Tuesday.
The council will reduce condo units and increase floor area at Dayspring in the 1900 block of Reservoir Road while scheduling first reading of the Larson Annexation. The 47 acre parcel at 4Let Avenue and Sucavos Mery is set for annexation, already approved by council with little controversy. Abandoning two alleys in Greeley National Bank Plaza also on the agenda after Planning Commission approval.
