Three Greeley people were summoned by sudden deaths Monday. H N Bickling traveled to Dover Delaware after his father died suddenly. Mrs Sarah Teachner left for Mineral Point Wisconsin when informed her sister had collapsed. Mrs Ellen Ouderkirk rushed to Las Animas after learning her brother in law Louis Hubrecht had died. Hubrecht had earlier contracted blood poisoning following an acorn paring, leading to amputation and eventual death.

City Man Claims Record Egg From Hen

Farmer Miss S Injured In Runaway Near Condon Store
Gust Erickson a young farmer living south of town escaped severe injury Monday afternoon when a wheel fell off his buggy and his horse ran wild into a second rig tied in front of the Condon store on Eighth street. He was thrown clear and narrowly avoided impalement on an iron hitching post. Both buggies suffered heavy scratches while the horses were controlled. The incident caused a stir along Highth street as the iron chain between the posts thwarted a possible plunge onto a crowded sidewalk.

Paralysis led to the death of George Spahn a longtime Greeley resident at the county hospital yesterday. He had been helpless since November. Survived by a wife and several children, they reside at Third avenue and Eighth street. Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Catholic church with Rev. Father A B Casey officiating.
