Four fetch record prices for stock animals at Denver show
Four youngsters earned record prices for hogs and lambs at the National Western Stock Show. Gov. Lamm and wife bought the champion Ram shire hog, Darrel Crambler showed the 236 pound animal selling at 1.50 per pound. Darrell Howard sold his Hampshire grand champion lamb for 21.50 a pound. Safeway Stores paid 1599 for the Duroc hog, second to a historic 10.20 per pound. The reserve champion lamb sold for 10.50 per pound totaling 1238 to Greybull. The Denver Hilton bought the reserve champion crossbred hog for 5.50 per pound totaling 1320.
