A drunken brawl in the Cilinders house between Third and Fourth streets on Sixth Avenue led to a fight involving seven Mexican men. Revolvers were produced, but no serious injuries occurred. All seven were arrested for drunkenness and disturbance after the incident.
Early yesterday afternoon a large whisky shipment was reported to have been moved to Greeley. Mexicans gathered near Childers place as Officers Lanager and Brown waited outside. A raid began at about 1 o clock with two armed men firing, but the mob surrendered after revolvers were drawn and officers detained them.
Local movement to form a first class Colorado league baseball nine in Greeley gains momentum. Efforts target Paul Wigton Tyndall Snyder and Colorado State University players plus School of Mines men. He said a woman, not stopping at the tracks, was struck, carried onto the engine, then thrown aside near the pasture.
