Frank Hichards, 24, WPA worker of 2005 Sixth Street Greeley, was arrested by Galitesy patrol on a charge of creating a hazard on a public highway after he allegedly caused Dr. W L Wilkinson of La Salle to drive off the Garden City highway at 1 15 a m Friday. Wilkinson said Richards and a woman were staggering on the pavement and a car braking sent them into traffic. Richards claimed he was signaling to let another car onto the highway. Richards and the woman escaped unharmed. Wilkinson’s 1935 Buick hit a heavy iron post marking Garden City city limits, damage mainly to the right fenders.
