No Skating at Glenmere Park Amid Ice Breakthroughs
Glenmere Park officials announced no skating at Glenmere lake on Monday evening due to poor ice. City park superintendent Vern Schaffer said skating may not resume soon as the lake was closed after ice deterioration. A tractor broke through near the island, but both machines were recovered without damage. About 24 inches of ice remain on the Island Grove park rink. Nunn Overpass Second Victim Dies Monday
A two-vehicle crash on the Nunn Overpass last Wednesday claimed a second victim. Mrs Doreen Efimoff, 20, of Casper Wyoming, died at Weld County General Hospital about 12 40 p m Monday. Richard C Tush, 29, of Lynwood Washington, had already died in the hospital earlier in the week. Efimoff and her husband Alex Efimoff were in a car that collided with a station wagon driven by Plush. Efimoff suffered head and chest injuries but was reported in good condition and may be dismissed Tuesday. She was the county’s 11th traffic fatality this year.

Train Slices into School Bus Killing 4 Children
In Fackler Alabama a freight train crashed into a dirt crossing school bus, slicing it in half and killing four children while injuring eight others. The bus driver Charfin Beavers said brakes failed recently and two nephews of the driver were among the dead.
