President Todnevelt urged Congress to broaden the social security act to cover early ages and expand protection for dependent children and the unemployed. He advocated larger federal grants to states with limited capacity and two main approaches for old age security, plus extending federal aid to dependent children and liberalizing aid to states. The proposal would increase eligibility and strengthen protections for elderly, blind, and dependent children, while reviewing current program operations and funding needs.
The Social Action Committee will host a panel at Park Church on Wednesday March 18 at 6 30 o’clock to discuss bonshus following the re cur all church dinner. Mariana Dierig two died at Isolations hospital Saturday night from diphtheria. Daughter of Mr and Mrs Vall Btevig of 929 Street she leaves parents and one brother. Private funeral and interment were held at Sun Grove cemetery Monday afternoon. Sadley Funeral homes in charge of details.
Eugene Lerroy Frazier 32 of Greeley died Sunday in Salida. He was brother in law of Mr and Mrs. Charles Wish of Greeley. The body will be brought to Macy's in Greeley for services. He leaves a widow Mrs. Fraiice Rash Prager and children Gherlea 12 Nedry Sand Tatwreune 4. Six sisters and brothers live in Salida and Cheyenne. Funeral arrangements await arrival of James Willca sister of Mrs. Penzier from Philadelphia.
Aniwal Eitziam 99 of Mullerds in the Greeley area was badly injured early Sunday when struck on highway 44 two miles east of Greeley by automobile driven by Wreedl Harding 21. He was walking on the right side of the road when hit. Harding reported two cars approaching from the east obscured his view and he called police and ambulance.
Governor Ralph L. Carr and Bishop Tisiph S. Guabman will speak at the Greeley district M E Brotherhood banquet Tuesday at the Methodist church. Dinner is at 6:30 pm. about 275 men from northeastern Colorado towns expected.
Denver authorities chased a red light bandit run in a night of confusion as armed drivers and patrols responded to a false alarm. Suspects reportedly fled toward Elmdso and branches of the state patrols along with local officers pursued reports across several streets and counties while no robbery was completed.
Eaton native Tohitsleos Melzer, 32, died Sunday at his mother's home near Port Colline after long illness from dropsy. He is survived by his mother, four sisters, and eight brothers. funeral at Guruw Congregational Church in Windsor on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with burial at Lake View Cemetery.

Chauncey C Carrel, 89, longtime Greeley railroad man and former Union Pacific agent in 1888, died Sunday forenoon in Greeley. He had recently been in Teele for three weeks. Survived by wife Mrs Min Carrel and a son, Glen Lin Velda, funeral services set for 10 o’clock Tuesday at Linn Grove.
Two men were found guilty in Denver federal court of defrauding the United States Mint by forging and selling silver and other coins. After verdict, the judge granted stays to seek a new trial. Prosecutors pursued maximum penalties of up to ten years and $10,000 on each count, with additional contempt actions against a local real estate agent for allegedly contacting witnesses.
