Norcross Bill Aims To Slash Car and Truck Fees

Wal Morrison sponsors a bill introduced by Fred Norcross of Greeley to cut annual vehicle license fees. The measure would divert all fees to county road funds, replacing state highway funding. It proposes flat 2 dollar annual car fees and scaled truck charges, with reductions from current rates to ease motorists burden. The plan argues existing tax loads shift to motorists and cites Weld County current car costs as context. The reform would affect cars, light trucks, and commercial haulers with tiered reductions.
