Grace Dean is described as attending college in Joy. Various notes mention methods used to remove moths from fur collars. A method involves passing fur over a warm radiator with a flame. Suns and brushing are cited as ways to care for moth damage.
Local talent shone as junior high students performed piano pieces and cornet solos during the Wednesday morning assembly. Messages from the Associated Relief of Gresley were read, and college student Miss Alsen sang with Miss Allen.
Ault High girls finalize their basketball schedule. They will host Brush on Jan. 23 and travel to Cheyenne on Feb. 14. Ault Junior High girls plan a three game series with Galeton on Jan. ja. The club voted to lease Onyx Hall for the year, with gatherings possible. M. 2. Gittin reported on Herd Law activities at Greeley Farm Institute. The January meeting of the Nunn Community Club was hosted at Onyx Hall. About 70 men and women attended an oyster supper served by the men’s committee led by J. J. Collart and others. A Colorado Teachers College girls octet performed vocal solos and two numbers, Carlton Ladell played two violin solos, with T. G. Annis presiding in place of absent president I Pata Woolston. Margaret Doolittle read the minutes as L. A. Giffin delivered the treasurer’s report.
Local notes list Miss Anderson and Mrs. Baker as dinner guests of Mrs. Gus Larz, and Daniel Greensides at the L N Cronduist home. Several visits occur around Greeley with family gatherings, hospital trips, and dinners, including Mr. and Mrs. Hackleman and others. Jay Reed has purchased Jota north.
The Milliken school assembly on Tuesday morning featured two contummatty songs, readings by Miss Yule McFadden and Miss Vern Turgoosa, a vocal solo by Miss Hazel Sundberg with Miss Etha Wright at piano, and faculty numbers. Windsor junior high basketball plans a Friday afternoon doubleheader against Eaton at 4 15 in Windsor gym with two games. The decimated report notes a prior loss to Windsor high school 23 to 43 and a 25 to 0 win over Galeton, with midget and junior squads described in mixed terms.
The eighth grade held a business meeting on Thursday to decide on a two room paper. The staff chosen includes Erma Canndu as editor and Athel Zetter as assistant editor. Each edition will feature a sports section editorial page lost and found and other items.
The P G B club met with Mrs. George Ball and guests planned a bridal shower for Myre Hadley Martin at the Purcell school house on Friday evening January 16. W. Massey to host next on January 22. Various visits and gatherings described include Rowena King with local families, a Greeley show, and skating at Anderson's lake amid good weather.
