Doctor Z G Wilmoth concluded death due to old age and exposure rather than freezing. Warner, a former grocer, came to Colorado in 1881 from New York state. He had a brother Fred in Northfield Illinois and a half sister Emma Warner in St Johnsbury Vermont. No children are listed. Funeral arrangements were to be announced.

He served as county judge 1895 to 1904 and as seventh judicial district judge for an unexpired term in 1926. He was a Grealey State College director for six years and a United States water commissioner. Survived by widow two daughters and one son. No funeral arrangements announced.
